  • Ice | Space 2019

The project explores physical experience of landscape and its geological past by using an experimental photographic technique developed by the artist. In the high regions of the Alps, unique photographic objects are created using 'glacial flour' - rock ground to powder by the movement of ice. The site-specific sediments are mixed with a light-sensitive substance and exposed in a self-constructed large-format camera for several hours to depict space left behind by the retreating glaciers.
